Scoot Pumpfoil Package | Bite 100 Starter Set with Handle Bar

Start pumpfoiling with the control of the Scoot Handle Bar. It stabilises the board from your first dockstart, gets you on foil faster and keeps you away from the foil when you fall. The Bite 100 (12 liters, full carbon) and Leap 2800 front wing cover the full learning curve. When you no longer need the bar, you remove it and keep riding the same board and foil. The Leap 2800 is built for long distances, so the setup stays relevant long after the basics are there. Everything you need to start, without ordering parts separately. Rider weight up to 95 kg. Learn dockstarts faster with the Scoot Handle Bar

The Leap 2800 front wing generates lift at low speed, so you get on foil quickly from your first dockstart. The Scoot Handle Bar keeps the board stable while you find your balance and build your pump rhythm. Remove it when you are ready. Same board, same foil.

Why upgrade to the Hopper Carbon Mast?

The Hopper Carbon Mast is 750mm of full carbon, built to turn your energy into longer glide. A more flexible aluminium mast is more forgiving but less efficient, losing energy that should go into the foil. With the carbon mast, more of your input becomes forward drive, so you pump more efficiently, glide longer and cover more distance per session. For heavier riders, who lose the most to flex, the difference is largest. As part of the package it costs less than buying it separately.

Handlebar · use and warranty

Let your feet and trim do the work, and treat the bar as balance support

Balance and control

The handlebar gives you support at the start and throughout your session. The pumping comes from your legs, so don't put too much force on the handlebar.

Let your feet do the work

Don't use the handlebar to force the foil through a breach or a touchdown. Steer with your feet and your trim, and use the bar for balance only. Every hard pull loads every connection, from the handlebar mount to the mast and the wing.

Not a lever

Don't hang from it, pull hard on it or twist it. When you carry your setup, support the board and foil as well, not just the handlebar.

The bar in a crash

A rigid handlebar is one more hard object close to your body. Ride with your arms slightly bent, never locked. Holding on during a fall usually keeps you away from the foil, but if you hit something underwater at speed, the bar itself can hit you.

Max. 95 kg rider weight

Including wetsuit and gear. Ride with a helmet and impact vest, in water at least 1 meter deep. Children only under supervision.

Assemble as the manual says

Use only the bolts supplied with the handlebar, as described in the manual. No other bolts, no extra washers.

Before and after use:

Check before your session:

1. Check that all bolts are tight and the handlebar sits firmly on the board. 2. Set the handlebar height so your arms are slightly bent in your riding stance. 3. Make sure the grips are secure. 4. Mount your foil and check the mast bolts. 5.Put on your helmet and impact vest, and check the water is at least 1 metre deep.

Check after your session:

1. Rinse the handlebar, adapter and bolts with fresh water, especially after salt water. 2. Let everything dry before you pack it into the bag. 3. Carry your setup by the board and foil, not by the handlebar. 4. Take your setup apart for transport and storage, and store every part dry and out of direct sunlight. 5. Every few sessions, take out the bolts and put a little anti-seize grease on the threads.

What the warranty covers

Manufacturing defects. Not covered: Damage from overloading, impact, incorrect assembly or use outside these guidelines is not covered.
